MacJury #1110: Evaluating the iPhone 4S Launch

Shortly after the iPhone 4S announcement event wrapped up, The MacJury convened to evaluate the latest news from Apple, including the issue surrounding the naming convention, the new camera, Siri, and the internal hardware changes to the device. The role of voice recognition in gaming, how your relationship with your phone may change once you can talk to it, and the inevitable Star Trek comparisons start off the conversation. Along the way Find My Friends is evaluated, iCloud tradeoffs and dependence are weighed, Cards’ usefulness is examined, and Tim Cook’s performance is discussed by the panel of Lex Friedman, Chuck La Tournous, Omaha Sternberg and host Chuck Joiner.

The Panel:

Photo manipulation is more popular than ever with the proliferation of cameras in iDevices and the cost of good digital cameras constantly getting better by the month. The problem is how to keep track of what you shot where, and how to easily move your photos from one device to another for editing and sharing. A panel of digital photography experts convened recently to solve those problems, outlining how to easily and conveniently move photos between iPhone, iPad, your Mac and even your camera all without using cables.…unless you really want to. The panel also talks photo syncing in the cloud, iDevice photo editing and more.
